Pavel Nedvěd, born on August 30, 1972, in Cheb, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), is regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time. Known for his incredible stamina, powerful shots, and technical ability, Nedvěd was a key figure in Lazio’s late 1990s success and later became the symbol of Juventus, winning multiple league titles and the 2003 Ballon d’Or.


Early Life and Career

Nedvěd began his professional career at Dukla Prague in 1991, before moving to Sparta Prague, where he won multiple Czech league titles. His performances at UEFA Euro 1996 attracted the attention of top European clubs, and he joined Lazio later that year.


Lazio – The Rise to Stardom

At Lazio (1996–2001), Nedvěd established himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A, playing a key role in their domestic and European success.

Nedvěd became one of Juventus’ greatest-ever midfielders, leading them to multiple league titles and a UEFA Champions League final.

Nedvěd earned 91 caps and scored 18 goals for Czech Republic, leading them in multiple major tournaments.
